Is my state supported?
IRLProof works with a mobile driver's license: the digital version of your license that lives in your phone's wallet app. Not every state issues one yet.
22 states and territories issue one today, with roughly 15 more announced or in pilot. Checked 9 September 2026. The authoritative list is AAMVA's, and it changes often.
The 10 second answer
Open Google Wallet on your phone and look for an ID or driver's license option. If your license is in there, you can use IRLProof. If it is not, your state is not ready yet, whatever the table below says.
IRLProof currently accepts Google Wallet only. Apple Wallet support is planned and the Apple column is here so you can see where things stand.

| State | Issues an mDL | Google Wallet | Apple Wallet |

"Not confirmed" means exactly that: we have not found a source we would stand behind either way. It does not mean no. We would rather say we do not know than guess and send you to a sign-in that cannot work, or turn you away from one that would.
My state is not listed
Then you cannot use IRLProof yet, and there is no workaround: this service verifies a government-issued digital credential, and if your state does not issue one there is nothing for your phone to present. States are adding programmes steadily, so this is a question worth asking again in a few months.
We deliberately do not offer a fallback that scans a photo of a plastic license. That would mean collecting a picture of your ID, which is the thing this service exists not to do. Why we made that trade.
